Even today many people think that the owls are blind during day time and active during night. This is inspite of the fact that things can be clarified by people from the internet. They do see clearly during day but they do not move around as they are nocturnal and rest during day time.

Any how the sound of House Crow and jungle babblers from a tree attracted my attention. I sopped for a while and the sound kept on coming for a few minutes. The birds left the scene as i stopped. But i continued to stay at a convenient distance from the tree. A number of babblers again came and started the loud sound. Then i realised the presence of a bird almost completely merged with the colour of the leaves. It was Barn Owl.

I felt It was not disturbed due to my presence. More ever it thought his saviour was around as the other birds moved out of the branches of the Kachnar tree.

This specie of owl is widely distributed although in Delhi we observe spottted owl in most of the parks.
