Kaziranga National Park Tour

Introduction

Lying in the pockets of the far North East of India, beside the great Bramhaputra River, Kaziranga is one of the most successful examples of wildlife conservation in India and one of the largest strips of protected terrain in the sub-Himalayan belt. The park, which celebrated its first centenary in 2005, has an area of 430 km², mostly covered with marshlands and elephant grass. Thereby, making it the ideal habitat for Kaziranga’s most famous resident – the Indian one-horned rhino.

Day 01: Arrival at Guwahati and transfer to Kaziranga National Park (4-5 hours’ drive).
Day 02: Morning Safari along with Elephant ride and evening jeep Safari in Kaziranga.
Day 03: Visit to Hoollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary
Day 04: Birding in tea gardens and evening jeep safari in Kaziranga National Park
Day 05: Transfer from Kaziranga to Guwahati and Guwahati tour (optional)

  • There are three safari zones in Kaziranga, ideally all three zones will be covered by doing three safaris unless there is some availability issue or specific requirement.
  • Kaziranga park opens from November to April for safaris.
  • This itinerary can be customized as per requirement.
