During my visit to Tal Chhapar last month I got a chance to observe a pair of Laggar Falcon (male and female) during the breeding season outside the grassland famous for the Black Bucks in the State of Rajasthan.

I found the female (larger in size than the male) feeding on a kill and the male was observing her feeding from a distance. When he felt that she might finish up the entire kill and may not leave anything for the chicks he came to the female and grabbed the remaining piece and flew to the nest where chicks were waiting and the female kept on seeing the male in flight.
