Leopard with kill at Ranthambore Tiger Reserve
Leopard with kill at Ranthambore Tiger Reserve

For the last 14 years I have been observing leopard in various parks of our country. Only on two occasions I happen to see with a kill.

For the first time it was at Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra in December 2010 wherein a spotted deer was killed and it had dragged to the bushes to save it from other predators.

The second time I observed a leopard on the kill of a spotted deer at Ranthambore on 11th May 2017.The way he looked at me is just frightening.

On 28th May I posted a blog on my facebook page about the leopards of Ranthambore. The same was liked by many nature lovers. Sh S Nallamuthu ,a well known Cinematographer remarked:-

“Leopard with the kill is a killer shot Sir Ji “

These remarks forced me to look once again the other shots taken on the same date for the same happening. To my surprise I found some more shots which depict the mood of the leopard. I thought of sharing with you all.
