Itinerary Details

Delhi Located in the northern part of India, known as the third largest city, with a population of 10 million plus. It covers an area of 1483 sq. km and bustles metropolis. The main languages spoken are Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi, although English is also widely understood. Delhi is also a major travel gateway and is one of the busiest entrance points for overseas airlines, being a major link to all other northern and southern cities. After check-in at your hotel, you can opt to relax or use facilities at hotel like Ayurvedic Massage, steam, swimming pool (depending on the in-house facilities). Local city sightseeing can also be arranged depending upon your time of arrival. Overnight at a hotel in Delhi.

You will take a flight to Jabalpur in morning after an early breakfast (packed breakfast can also be provided instead). Once you reach Jabalpur, you will visit Bhedaghat. Bhedagat A small town located near Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. Located by the side of the Narmada River, this town has Dhuandhar Falls, Marble Rocks and the Chaunsath Yogini Templeto visit. Dhuandhar Falls is a waterfall; known to be one of the major attractions of this place for its beauty. It is called Dhuan (Smoke) – Dhar (Flow), because the waterfall has smoke coming out of the water. Marble Rocks is situated 20 kms away from Jabalpur district, by the Narmada River. The river has really carved soft marble out of the rocks, stretching it to for kms in length. It is indeed a popular tourist destination. Chausath Yogini Temple is known as one of the oldest heritage site in India. With a look of Khajuraho architecture, this temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga. This temple is a must visit to the place, because of its volume of old dynasty tales. After the local sightseeing, you will be driven to Kanha (5 hours drive). Packed lunch will be provided or enroute lunch can also be arranged. Once you reach Kanha in the evening, you can check in at the resort. You may enjoy yourself in the evening with in house activities at the resort or just relax in leisure; followed by dinner. You have an overnight stay at the resort. (Meals included: Breakfast in Delhi or can also be packed, Lunch packed or enroute and Dinner in Kanha). Please note: As per your flight schedule, best possible option of the breakfast and lunch can be decided upon arrival.

For the next two days, you will have four jungle Safaris in an open jeeps where you will explore ‘Mowgli Land’. Morning Safari will last for 4 to 5 hours; packed breakfast will be arranged. After a morning safari, you will return to the resort to freshen up and followed by lunch. Kanha National Park,highly inspired Rudyard Kipling to write Jungle Book. The naturalist, accompanying you will be sharing the information about the park and will also make you familiar with the diverse fauna and flora present here, several ways of tracking the big cats, understanding the behavior of various Denizens etc. assuring to make your experience a hundred fold better. The tropical central highlands of the park make it a perfect habitat for all the wild animals that also includes tigers, wild dogs, and countless species of birds, reptiles and insects. However, the animal which is found here in abundance is the Barasingha or the Jewel of Kanha –Swamp Deer. We will of course give an ample of opportunities to photograph the rich beauty of flora and fauna. Evening safari starts in late afternoon and lasts for around 3 hours. You can relax yourself at the resort once returned from the evening safari. You will retire yourself for the day after dinner. You have an overnight stay at resort in Kanha. (Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at Kanha) Day 5: Drive to Satpura followed by night Safari. You will leave for Satpura (8 hours ‘drive) after an early breakfast. Lunch will be enroute. Check in the resort, freshen up. Satpura National Park, is one of the most peaceful jungle in the country high on nature. Considered to be an unspoiled highland Eco system, distinguishes it from the other tiger reserves of India. Encompassing Bori Wildlife Sanctuary and Pachmarhi Wildlife Sanctuary; famous Ornithologist Dr. Sálim Ali, inaugurated this park in 1981. Your trip here unfolds the surprise of a night safari! Night safari, you will visit the outskirts of the jungle, where you can expect a leopard or a jungle cat, honey badger or even porcupine and etc. After the night safari, overnight stay at the resort in Satpura. (Meals included: Breakfast in Kanha, Lunch enroute and Dinner in Satpura)

The day will start with in house morning activity, noon to relax, late afternoon activity followed by leisure time spent at the resort in the evening. 3 days here will give maximum opportunity to explore the jungle through varied Safari experiences. The six safaris comprises of one boat safari, one nature walk, one jeep safari with elephant ride and the rest will be open jeep safaris. Please note: To maximize your wildlife watching experience, we will decide the activities as per the course of the season. Boat Ride in the backwaters offers you a lot of opportunity to see crocodiles and animals grazing on the water banks. You can enjoy a motorboat ride or a ride on the canoeing, boat, which seats only three people. This is the perfect time to click pictures of various water birds including terns etc. Nature Walk includes two treks of 6 km and 10 kms, which will be accompanied by a naturalist who will help you explore the jungle on foot. It’s one of its own experience to appreciate the true sense of flora and fauna. This is definitely on the must to do list on every nature enthusiast. Open Jeep Safari will let you go into the core area or say deep parts of the jungle driving through various topography, letting you soak and capture different moods and the inhabitants of the jungle life. Elephant ride is another mean to go in the jungle. The areas which you can’t visit on foot or by jeep, can really be explored on an elephant ride. Please note: Satpura National Parkis not known for tiger sightings because they are really shy. Therefore, don’t really keep your hopes high on this. You have 2 nights stay at the resort in Satpura. (Meals included- Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Bhimbetka The World Heritage Site, the rock shelters and caves of Bhimbetka, has a large number of paintings which are over 30,000 years old from the medieval period. The paintings are mostly executed in red and white with occasional green and yellow depicts various themes from everyday events of centuries ago. The scenes are of hunting, dance and music also of animal such as tigers, lions and elephants etc. is craved on the caves. You will also find religious and ritual symbols in the caves too. The colors used by the cave dwellers are prepared of manganese, hematite, and soft red stone. The colors have remained intact for many centuries due to the chemical reaction resulting from the oxide present on the surface of the rocks and also because the drawings were generally made deep in a niche or on inner walls. After finishing the tour to fascinating caves, you will depart for Bhopal to Agra. You have an overnight train to Agra.(Meals included- Breakfast at Satpura, Lunch en route and packed Dinner in Train)

Once you reach Agra, you check in at the hotel, freshen up, and have breakfast. Then you visit THE TAJ. Agra Do you know, Agra, was originally the capital of India, during the Mughal period from the 16th and 17th centuries? The city consists of many monuments which depicts the high point of Mughal architecture. Babar, the founder of the dynasty, laid out the first formal Persian garden on the banks of the Yamuna River. Akbar, his grandson raised the towering ramparts of the great Red Fort. Within its walls, Jahangir built rose-red palaces, courts and gardens, whereas his son Shah Jahan embellished it with marble mosques, palaces and pavilions of gem-inlaid white marble. Agra is home to the timeless beauty – ‘Taj Mahal’. One of the greatest monuments, defining true love, it was completed in 1652 by the skilled craftsmen from Persia, Turkey, France and Italy and approximately 20,000 laborers worked for 17 years to build this edifice. Emperor Shah Jahan built this beauty, as a mausoleum for his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj stands serene on a raised marble platform, by the banks of the Yamuna River. Our driver/guide will choose a place for lunch as per your preferred cuisine. After lunch, driver will bring you back to IGI Airport in Delhi (3.5 hrs. drive). – Kanha National Park and Satpura National Park remain closed to public access on Wednesday afternoons. Your itinerary will be planned likewise and will be utilized for travelling from Jabalpur to Kanha or Satpura. – The Taj Mahal remains closed for tourists on every Friday. Therefore, choose dates in such a way that day 2 of this itinerary shouldn’t be a Friday. – The activities mentioned above in the itinerary, will be conducted during the trip and are subject to changes as per the unforeseen natural reason. – Above itinerary is subject to change at the time of operation due to any unforeseen reason, keeping the best interest of a traveler, however, all the services possible that time will be provided according to the situation. Forest Department can cancel / change safari booking at any point of time. – Safari timings and duration will differ according to different seasons and destination. – Above itinerary is focused on mammals and birds; if any interest on insects, including butterfly, please notify in advance. Specialist in particular can accompany during the safari. – A list of suggested items to pack is included in the pre-departure guidebook that will be mailed to you after the time of booking confirmation. – Customization of mode of transport can be done as per requests; however, request in advance can only be entertained to make it as feasible as possible for your travel plans.
